The lemsteraak Blauwe Heks is a sailing yacht that can accommodate 4 to a maximum of 6 people and is therefore a perfect family boat. With its 11.20-metre length, it is a manageable sailing ship. At the front there are two cabins, one with a double bed and basin and the other with bunk beds; the bottom bunk is wide enough for two children to sleep in. Two additional people can sleep in the saloon on the settees.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, 3-burner gas stove, oven and double sink; a wonderful place in which to cook together, or to prepare small dishes.
The spacious saloon and large cockpit offer a significant amount of living space to its guests, ensuring a pleasant stay during the boating holiday. The navigation corner in this yacht is very generously equipped, with a compass, chart plotter, depth gauge, etc.
During the winter months of 2017, the vessel will undergo a large overhaul and will return to the fleet in 2018.
Charter with Skipper – how does it work?
We offer a few of our larger Lemsteraak sailing yachts for charter including a skipper. This is intended for guests who have little or no experience with flat-bottomed sailing, but still wish to enjoy the special atmosphere on board these classic yachts.
The ‘hired’ skipper is able to navigate alone, using the engine. When sailing, this is a different story. The guests are expected to help to sail the yacht. Experience isn’t necessary, but is helpful! You must bear in mind that there is then space on board for two fewer guests.
We also offer an optional training course, to learn the basics of all aspects of flat-bottomed sailing.
As from 2018, people hiring yachts will be able to order their shopping here and have this delivered to the harbour (only for yachts in Workum):
Payment is either in advance, alternatively we can pay and then settle with our customers in cash, upon their arrival at the harbour. Shopping will then be delivered to the yacht whilst it is, moored in the harbour, or to the Sail Charter Friesland office.
