The lemsteraak Argonaut was built in 1993 by the famous I Blom shipyard in Hindeloopen, after a design by D Blom. The schip was built under the name „vrouwe cornelia“ and the second owner gave her the name „stoute louise“. The ship has had a major overhaul at WJH Yachtservice in Workum in the winter of 2018 and in 2019 it will be ready, with modern technology and with an interior adapted to the rental, as one of the nicest ships in our rental fleet.

To the front of the yacht there is 2 cabins. One with 2 single beds and one with a double bed and a single bed. In the centre of the yacht there is a second cabin (owners cabin) equipped with a double bed. The two other berths can be found in the saloon on the benches. The Argonaut is equipped with a bow thruster and electrical winches for the leeboards. With a marine radio, depth and speed gauge, a big GPS Plotter and the latest nautical maps on board, the sailing region of Frisian inland waterways, the IJsselmeer and Wadden Sea are all within reach to head off on fabulous sailing trips on this beautiful Lemsteraak sailing yacht.

In the spacious cockpit, you can enjoy both sailing and the surrounding area. The vessel can be steered with a steeringwheel. Below deck, a large saloon and a well-equipped kitchen are conducive to a pleasant stay.

Charter with Skipper – how does it work?

We offer a few of our larger Lemsteraak sailing yachts for charter including a skipper. This is intended for guests who have little or no experience with flat-bottomed sailing, but still wish to enjoy the special atmosphere on board these classic yachts.
The ‘hired’ skipper is able to navigate alone, using the engine. When sailing, this is a different story. The guests are expected to help to sail the yacht. Experience isn’t necessary, but is helpful! You must bear in mind that there is then space on board for two fewer guests.

We also offer an optional training course, to learn the basics of all aspects of flat-bottomed sailing.

Extra service!

As from 2018, people hiring yachts will be able to order their shopping here and have this delivered to the harbour (only for yachts in Workum):

https://webwinkel.poiesz-supermarkten.nl

Payment is either in advance, alternatively we can pay and then settle with our customers in cash, upon their arrival at the harbour. Shopping will then be delivered to the yacht whilst it is, moored in the harbour, or to the Sail Charter Friesland office.
